SUMMARY:Maargathi- Path to Divinity
DESCRIPTION:Margathi means a dancer’s comprehensive journey towards the ultimate goal of seeking divinity – the cosmic symphony that weaves existence. Hence the event showcases the talent and growth of the disciples of Medasvi School of Dance through 2 Indian Classical Dance genres: namely Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam.  \n  \nWe are presenting a Margam of each dance form. Margam essentially means repertoire. The repertoire represents the progression of the dance and the dancer as they harness their inner energies which transform into visual aesthetics in the form of Dance. This is presented through live music and accompaniments . The choreographies are an eclectic mix of traditional and new ones. \n  \nMedasvi has been presenting an event annually for the last 3 years to showcase the evolution of our dancers. Students keep joining every year and hence we make it a point to give them an equal opportunity along with senior students to gain the stage experience. The entire event is managed by the members of Medasvi\, comprising performing students\, non-performing students as well as parents\, relatives and close friends of our students. They get the holistic experience of event management right from backstage duties to reception. Hence the whole event extends to the family & friends of the members of Medasvi. Other dance connoisseurs from outside engage themselves as the audience to encourage the budding artistes. As we are in the 4th year of Medasvi\, our objective is to present dance in a more professional manner to the public of Singapore. \n  \nTickets: \n\nDay 1 – Mohiniyattam ($28.00)\nDay 2 – Bharatanatyam ($28.00)\nDay 1 & 2 – Mohiniyattam & Bharatanatyam ($50.00)
