In this precinct\, you can find flower garland vendors next to restaurants serving both traditional and fusion meals\, small traditional businesses along multi-storey departmental stores. DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with its 30th anniversary\, Ramakrishna Mission Sarada Kindergarten is organising a food and funfair\, to raise $100\,000 to sustain its ongoing operations. The event will be held on Saturday\, 27 May 2023\, from 10 am to 5.30 pm at its open field. \n  \nBenefactors can contribute by: \n\nPurchasing $10 tickets for the event\, which can be purchased at the event.\nSponsoring or donating to the cause (download form)\n\nThe funds raised will be used for: \n\nUpgrading the infrastructure and purchasing new equipment\nModifying structures in view of changing needs\nInstallation of CCTVs in all areas where children study or play (to meet a new requirement by Early Childhood Development Agency).\n\nAcross 30 years\, 4\,500 students have graduated from the kindergarten\, which was started in 1993 in response to the falling standards of Indian school children. DESCRIPTION:  \nSingapore Pooram 2023 is a whole day cultural carnival and we are privileged to have Mr. Vikram Nair\, Member of Parliament Sembawang GRC to kick off the event at 09:00 AM on the event day. 2023 Pooram will be focusing attention predominantly on multicultural collaboration. \n  \nWe are collaborating with Indian Heritage Centre as well as diverse cultural and linguistic groups such as Telgu Samajam\, Maharashtra Mandal\, Odia Society\, Telangana Association\, Gujarati society\, Singapore Bangladeshi Association\, various Tamil and Malayalee clusters to accentuate the Indian cultural harmony and to emphasise the expression “Unity in Diversity”. We will have representations from Chinese\, Malay and Indian communities to demonstrate Singapore’s identity of harmonious multi racial society. \n  \nThe highlights of this cultural extravaganza are as follows: \n  \n\n“Percussion Ensemble” led by the melam wizard Padmashri Mattannoor Sankarankutty Marar and a squad of 43 accomplished artists from India\nKudamattam on Caparisoned Robotic Elephant – The robotic elephants are representations of the current AI technology\, and they are more than 10 feet high and 400 kg each\, imported from India.
