The Splendour of Peranakan Indian Weddings – A Cultural Theatre Show Experience

Step into the joyous world of a Peranakan Indian wedding with this immersive community theatre performance. The story follows Ayesha, a young woman from Malacca and Arjun, a trader from India whom she has fallen in love with. Their love story unfolds amidst the intricate preparations for their wedding. As the ceremony approaches, both families come together, bringing with them centuries-old traditions, lively music and intricate dances.

Experience the infectious rhythms of live music, the graceful moves of the joget, and the sweet delights of traditional kueh as you witness the vibrant rituals that bring this cultural celebration to life. In just 30 minutes, be transported into a world of heritage, storytelling, and heartfelt festivity that captures the spirit of a truly unique wedding tradition.

Ticket Price: $15 per person

• Participants are to arrive at IHC at least 15 minutes earlier for registration
• Only ticketholders will be allowed in the venue
• Children can enter for free
