The Little India is the only precinct that would house the charming Indian heritage, showcasing the various traditional trades of India and the mouthwatering Indian cuisines. This is the one stop place for tourists to see and feel India, hence it is no surprise that this precinct is proudly crowned as Little India of Singapore for more than 100 years. The vibrancy of this precinct is upheld despite all the challenges by LISHA. LISHA is a lively organisation which have been managing Little India for the past two decades. LISHA manages the merchants and the footfall of the tourists as well as hold prestigious, vibrant, and colourful landmark events such as Deepavali streetlights, bazaar, food fiesta and Pongal.

All these events are being hosted in Little India itself with the support of agencies like the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and the Hindu Endowment Board (HEB) and these events often acts as the vehicle to promote racial and religious harmony in Singapore.
