Twelve contestants will compete in V Supreme, a new Mediacorp Indian talent hunt competition. The programme will highlight the contestants’ training sessions and their performances across weeks. There will also be behind-the-scenes drama and stories.
The 12 contestants were selected from hundreds of hopefuls during auditions held earlier in October 2024. The contestants participated in a bootcamp, where they lived and trained together. Their mentors during this bootcamp included acting and hosting veteran Karthikeyan Somasundram, dance maestro Rameshwara and model Rathi Menon.
The contestants will display their talents through fashion shows, acting performances as well as hosting segments. According to a Mediacorp statement, the programme will cover “behind-the-scenes glimpses of blossoming friendships to fiery rivalries, weekly eliminations raising the stakes, and surprise appearances by local Indian celebrities further heightening the surprise element.”
In addition to catwalks, impromptu acting challenges, outdoor campaigns supporting meaningful causes, the four finalists will also participate in a Q&A segment in the finale by the judges.
V Supreme will kick off on 29 December 2024 and will be available every Sunday at 9 pm on mewatch and Vasantham. The live episodes will also later be available on Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube. For more information, mediacorp.sg/vsupreme.
