Yugesh Kannan won V Supreme, the Indian talent hunt competition by Mediacorp, taking home $10,000 prize money at the grand finale held on 23 March 2025. Yugesh captivated the judges with his dynamic stage presence and exceptional performances, edging out the other finalists.

According to Mediacorp, Yugesh demonstrated impressive acting talent, sharp quick-thinking skills, and the ability to engage effortlessly. His standout performances in the finale earned him the highest combined score, securing the championship title and a grand prize of $10,000. Fellow contestant Sheena claimed $6,000 with her second place finishing, while Yazhini, took third place with $3,000, and the fourth, fifth, and sixth place finishers—Krishmita, Alex and Ashraf—each walked away with $1,500.

“Winning V Supreme feels like a dream come true,” Yugesh said. “This journey has been incredibly challenging, but I am grateful for the experience, the friendships made, and the chance to showcase what I love doing. I could not have done it without the amazing mentors, judges, and everyone who believed in me. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next!”

Hosted by Vishnu M. Anandh, V Supreme was launched to spotlight and elevate emerging talent in Singapore’s Indian entertainment scene. The competition began with 12 promising hopefuls, selected from hundreds of auditions held in October 2024. Throughout the competition, contestants underwent an intensive boot camp followed by six weeks of live performances that pushed their creative limits. They faced high-pressure challenges in acting, dancing, and quick-witted hosting segments, which ultimately narrowed the field to the final six contestants.

At the grand finale, the six finalists showcased their versatility in a series of high-stakes challenges that put all their learnings into action. They faced both scripted and impromptu acting tasks, along with a demanding hosting and interview segment, featuring special guest appearances from veteran actors and actresses Ashwini Nair, Bharathi Rani, Kishore Kumaran and Sivakumar Palakrishnan.

The judging panel, featuring singer and model Annetha Ayyavoo, actor Jabur Deen Faruk, multi-hyphenate Jaenani Netra and media veteran JK Saravana, evaluated the finalists on key criteria such as stage presence, technical skills, creativity, and audience engagement. The final rankings were determined through a combination of judges’ scores (80 percent) across all the finalists’ performances, and the public vote, with fans stepping in as the fifth judge, contributing 20 percent to the overall score.

2nd to 6th prizes:

*Sheena*	2nd prize: 20-year-old Medical Biotechnology student, passionate about acting and deeply connected to Tamil media. Inspired by various actors, Sheena joined V Supreme to pursue her dreams and entertain, engage, and inspire audiences.
Yazhini	3rd prize: 18-year-old Electrical and Electronic Engineering student, a freelance events host with a passion for the Tamil language. Inspired by Balachander and Mani Ratnam’s feminist storytelling, Yazhini joined V Supreme to inspire Tamil youth and evolve as a versatile performer.
Krishmita	4th prize: 20-year-old International Relations student, passionate about inspiring others and involved in teaching and volunteering. Motivated by her mother’s strength, Krishmita joined V Supreme to create a positive impact through her performances.
Alex	5th prize: 21-year-old medical student with a passion for performing, including dancing, singing, and fitness. Inspired by Silambarasan’s creativity and dedication, and Jabur Deen Faruk’s acting, Alex joined V Supreme to enhance his skills and contribute to Mediacorp productions.
Ashraf	6th prize: 24-year-old Aerospace Engineering student, freelance actor, and content creator. Inspired by Vijay Sethupathi’s natural acting, Ashraf joined V Supreme to showcase his talents and grow in his acting career.
