Programme Synopsis

Join us for a fun filled evening soaking in the festivities of Pongal while learning more about its significance to the Indian community! Our evening trail experience includes a variety of live demonstrations, and hands-on activities which will give you a deeper understanding of Pongal. Start the trail at the Indian Heritage Centre to learn more about the 4 days of this harvest festival.

Programme Highlights:

– Soaking in the festivities at the colourful and vibrant Pongal market along Campbell Lane
– Learn the art of thoranam tying, in a nature setting
– Receive a DIY Kolam kit
– Learn a Indian Folk dance, kollattam (stick dance)
– Bring home a sweet pongal sample
