“The most important role a man can play in his lifetime is that of becoming a father. Fatherhood is a man’s link with the future.” (Lewis Yablonsky, Fathers and Sons)
In the last 50 years, fathers have gained more recognition. They are no longer the “forgotten contributors to child development” (Lamb. 1975). Numerous studies support the connection between positive father involvement with better child development.
Spending time with your child is one of the elements of good fathering. Other elements include being consistent, aware and nurturing.
Workshop Highlights:
ICAN workshops will empower and equip fathers and parents at all life stages to effectively engage, bond, and nurture their children. They are informed by the most recent research on fathering, parenting, and child development. Our trainers are fathers with grown children who understand what fathers are experiencing and are able to empathize with them.
