About the Programme
The Secondary 1 Starters parenting workshop aims to help parents prepare themselves and their children in their journey towards Secondary 1 and throughout their secondary school education. This programme aims to help ease parents’ anxiety and to prepare them for their role of guiding children during transition.
Through the presentation, parents will gain useful insights into the current educational landscape and critical issues such as the social and emotional well-being of their children. The workshop would provide information to parents on academic and socio-emotional factors affecting Secondary School going children. The workshop would increase parents’ knowledge of resources and tools available to help their child cope with a new environment.
