About the Programme Are you ready to become the next big influencer on social media? Learn and master video post-production through a simple 8-step process. Dive in and learn to edit, add transitions, effects and build a story in the mobile app. Note: Participants are required to bring along a fully charged smartphone. Fees: Fully subsidised for participants with a family PCI of $1,000 and below. Eligibility: Open to all Indian youth aged 13 to 21 years old who are Singaporeans/Singapore Permanent Residents. Seven original compositons will be produced by multi-award winning flautist, Niranjan Pandian and performed by the Brahmastra Ensemble. The compositions in the form of a music album will be dedicated to our Tamil language as we feature local youth lyric writers, singers and Indian classical musicians. Programme Synopsis The distinctive Little India precinct melds the old with the new, hosting trades from the past beside modern businesses, old conserved shophouses next to high rise buildings. In this precinct, you can find flower garland vendors next to restaurants serving both traditional and fusion meals, small traditional businesses along multi-storey departmental stores. A 2-day celebration of Indian Classical Dance Forms- Bharatanatyam & Mohiniyattam by the kin of Medasvi along with live orchestra. On Day 1, May 14, the dancers showcase traditional Bharatanatyam items followed by a Mohiniyattam Thematic Production on Lord Ayyappa "Tatwamasi" . Rangoli is a multi-coloured floor decoration that symbolises wealth, joy, and prosperity, as well as thanksgiving to deities. The art of Rangoli originated from India and was brought to Singapore by Indian migrants who settled here. Make sure to join this workshop to learn about the history, ingredients and evolution of rangoli in Singapore. Not only that! You get the chance to make your own rangoli and bring it home!
