About this Programme:
To better understand the racial and cultural diversities that exist within Singapore
To develop a greater appreciation for Singapore’s rich history and heritage.
To encourage interaction amongst youths in a fun, engaging and meaningful activity.
a) Virtual Tour @ Kampong Glam
Let us take you on a journey around the old Royal Citadel. Visit the living abode of the former Malay Sultan and the royal family; see where they prayed, and even where some of them are buried today. Feel the local Malay culture-infused through the area as you breeze through the lively streets where traditional trades meet new-age boutique hipster shops, all well decorated with street art. With such picturesque boulevards and intriguing stories, it will definitely have you wanting to discover more.

b) Virtual Tour @ Chinatown
The history and stories of Chinatown are fascinating, even more so when told through the eyes of a time-traveller from 1890. Meet “Ah Gu”, a Chinese coolie who arrived in Singapore and made a life here. In his stories, be immersed in the journey of the early Chinese immigrants. Hear their struggles, their hopes and their fears. Through this, gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and traditions, and what it took to survive the harsh realities of 19th Century Chinatown.

Fees: Fully subsidised for the eligible participants with family PCI $1000 & below.
Eligibility: Open to all Indian Youths aged 13 to 21 years old, who are Singaporean Citizens or Permanent Residents with PCI $1000 & below.
